Lentils and Lather is an eco-friendly store. We place sustainability at the very heart of what we do.

By selling many of our products from dispensers and encouraging our customers to bring their own vessels to refill and reuse we eliminate the need for packaging and can therefore help you to reduce single-use plastic waste.

We choose to work with suppliers who are also placing sustainability central to their business, so you can rest assured that anything we stock has been assessed to ensure that minimal damage is being caused to the planet.

We sell many of our products in bulk from dispensers, so you can bring the containers you already own to refill and reuse. Food is the largest section of our store, but we also stock a wide range of household cleaning and personal care products.

Our bulk food range includes all of the staple ingredients you use on a day-to-day basis, such as pasta, breakfast cereals, grains, herbs and spices. We also have a wide variety of packaged food products, which we source based on the environmental credentials of the supplier and the quality of their products. Many of our packaged food items are not found in the supermarkets as we choose to work with smaller, independent producers. We also stock organic fruit and veg, artisan sourdough, free range eggs and fresh oat milk.

But we sell more than just food...

You can refill the bottles you use everyday in the bathroom with locally sourced liquids like shower gel and shampoo. Our shelves are full of planet-friendly personal care products to help you to feel good about feeling great.

You can also top up your cleaning product bottles with eco-friendly, naturally derived household liquids. We have all of the everyday essentials and so much more.

HEALTH FOODS AND PLASTIC FREE SHOP IN WITHINGTON AND MARPLE

Lentils and Lather has two physical shops, one in the Withington and Didsbury area and one in the Marple district of Stockport.

The Manchester suburb of Withington is the location of our first shop, which offers a selection of specially selected products to help you to be more sustainable at home.

We opened our second premises in Marple, a close-knit community within the Borough of Stockport. We are the leading retailer for whole foods in Marple.

 
 

ONLINE SHOPPING

We also have an online shop where you can click and collect from our Withington or Marple shop or request a delivery. We deliver all over South and Central Manchester and Stockport every Wednesday and we try to make all deliveries using our electric cargo bike.
