ABOUT OUR SPACE
Above our Marple shop (at 107 Stockport Road, SK6 6AF), we have a cosy, unique and inspirational space that’s available for use for a variety of commercial and community purposes. Frequent users of our space include:
Individuals that need a flexible office space
Small teams that want to hold a private meeting or conference call
Community groups who want to deliver hands-on workshops
Trainers and educators that need to connect with a group of people in an intimate setting.
We offer a flexible space that can accommodate individuals or groups of up to 30 people. Our space has two multi-functional office or event rooms, a small kitchen and washroom. Hot and cold drinks are available from the shop and we are very fortunate to be surrounded by a number of quality cafes where where lunch can be purchased from - ask our team for recommendations.
CO-WORKING
Over the past few years, demand for co-working spaces has increased as many people have found themselves working from home on a regular or even permanent basis. Whilst working from your own home does have certain benefits, there are also a few major downsides, such as a reduction in human interaction, endless distractions, over-working and, ultimately, under-performing.
Lentils and Lather offers one of the best co-working spaces in the Marple area that’s available to use every day that the shop is open (see our hours of operation here).
Co-working is a relatively new concept that is rapidly growing in predominance in major city areas like London. It offers several benefits to users, which is why they’re becoming so popular as a modern way of working. So, what are some of the benefits of co-working spaces?
It’s commonly recognised that co-working spaces enable increased productivity compared to working from your own home. Our stylish space, which has loads of natural lighting mixed in with an abundance of plant life, will help you to focus on the task at hand.
Increased connection with other co-workers and reduced isolation. Whether it’s simple “coffee machine chat” or “after-work drinks”, our co-working space can facilitate the development of new relationships, which could lead to long-term friendships or business partnerships.
There are no hidden fees or contracts, which can help small businesses, sole traders or freelancers to keep on top of their outgoings and minimise costs.
We offer a simple individual day rate of just £16.50 (+VAT) per day that includes WiFi access and a hot drink in the morning.
PRIVATE MEETINGS AND EVENTS
Individual rooms or the entire space is also available for sole occupancy; ideal for meetings, workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations or talks. The main room has a seated capacity of around 20 if laid out in an auditorium style or can accommodate up to 8 people that require desk space. Our top room has a screen, so information can be presented effectively.
To date, we’ve hosted crafting workshops, educational sessions for children and adults, team meetings and a first aid course.
Sole occupancy rates are £70 per day and discounts are available for events that are of benefit to the community or bookings of multiple sessions.
LINGER FOR A WHILE IN OUR OUTDOOR SPACE
Take a break and get some fresh air in our amazing little outdoor space, which gets a tonne of sun - perfect for a quick recharge of the batteries. We have a well-stocked deli counter, fresh fruit, tea and coffee or even a treat or two to get you through the day!
