WHO WE ARE

Being lovers of the outdoors, we’ve always been conscious about our impact on the environment and the ways that waste can end up in places where it shouldn’t be. Because of this, we’ve been making efforts to try and minimise our footprint on the planet for many years.

In 2012 we had an idea to help people to reuse their shower gel, shampoo and washing up liquid bottles. A bit like a milk round, we would deliver soaps by bike and fill up people’s bottles at their homes: helping other like-minded households to reduce the amount of plastic they throw in the bin. The ‘Recyclabubbles’ pipe-dream was born.

Fast-forward to today and this passion lives on - albeit a slightly more grown-up version. We’ve dropped the bikes (though we still love bikes) and opened our own shop dedicated to enabling people to use less plastic. Inspired by the growing desire to do more and influenced by stories we hear about plastic at the bottom of the sea, in wild terrain and frozen in arctic ice.

Lentils and Lather represents everything we believe in and have been doing ourselves for a long time. We shop local, make choices based on sustainability and try to produce less plastic waste - and now we have the pleasure helping others to do the same!

Whether you’re already a plastic-free crusader or just starting out, we want people to come into our shop and realise how easy and fun it is to shop without all the needless plastic.
